House Bill 1430, the bill that seeks to extend the moratorium on the Art in Public Places program, now has a senate author, Sen. Greg Treat (R-District 47).
The bill is still on reported to be on "General Order" and we don't believe it has been heard yet by the new Calendar Committee. It has not yet gone to the full House of Representatives for a vote. If it passes the House, it will then begin the legislative process in the Senate. We'll keep you updated. In the meantime, please contact your legislators and let them know what art in public places mean to you.
