Did you know every $1 invested in public funding for the arts generates $9 in economic activity in Oklahoma? Oklahomans for the Arts believes the best advocates for public funding for the arts are average citizens with local voices and hometown views. These individuals have the ability to make the most compelling case for public funding for the arts.
To demonstrate just how important the average citizen is to our cause Oklahomans for the Arts is giving away one iPad 2 valued at more than $499.
Entering is so easy. Just follow us on Facebook, Twitter and in the Blogosphere as well as sign up to receive our e-newseltter, The Arts Advocate, and you'll have four chances to win. You must be 13+ to enter and you MUST be a resident of the State of Oklahoma, which means you live here 12 months out of the year. (See more specific details below.)
Later, we'll post information about how you can become a full-fledged member of this advocacy organization. (We're a 501c3, by the way.)
We especially encourage students between 13 and 18 to enter, and we encourage them to have their parents enter. We'll host cool and frequent contests for this fun age group, so help us spread the word: Arts and culture are great for Oklahoma's economy!
To ensure the fairness and sincerity of this contest, Oklahomans for the Arts is using Rafflecopter to assist with the giveaway. Simply follow the directions below and you'll be on your way to competing for a brand new iPad 2! (Winner will be selected from among the Rafflecopter entries so it's important to enter using the form below.)
Winner will be announced on this website via Rafflecopter at 12:01 AM EST, October 28. Good luck!!
