Kansas Math Professor, Native Okie Pens Column on the Arts

Bobby Winters, a native of Harden City, Oklahoma, and Assistant Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Mathematics at Pittsburg State University, has a regular column, Okie in Exile, in the The Morning Sun, a Pittsburg, Kansas newspaper. This week he wrote about the importance of public funding for the arts. Reflecting on the incredible impact the arts can have, he wrote about the influence of his second grade teacher and her daughters:
